Gizeh Village

AdventurersIndiana Jones
Jul 17, 2025

This build is my take on the Gizeh village as seen in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. After finishing the game, I felt inspired to recreate a cozy Egyptian village scene packed with life, charm, and adventure. Exactly the kind of place you'd expect Indy to explore.

The centerpiece of the village is a lively bazaar, complete with a brickbuilt dome roof. It's definitely not your standard LEGO shape, but that’s part of the fun! Finding creative ways to bend the brick to your will. I also incorporated parts of the classic LEGO Indiana Jones set 7195: Ambush in Cairo (released in 2008) into the build. It just seemed like the perfect nostalgic fit, both in style and story.

Classic Raiders of the Lost Ark Scenes

No Indiana Jones village would be complete without a nod to Raiders of the Lost Ark. I recreated the iconic Cairo market scene where Marion is captured by Belloq’s men. I took two photos that highlight key moments: one of Indy winning a sword fight with his gun (a classic moment of movie humor), and another of Marion trying to defend herself with a frying pan. These little scenes were a lot of fun to build and photograph.

The Tower

The tower in the village uses forced perspective to make it appear as if it’s farther in the background, giving the whole layout more depth. The smaller dome on top was a bit of a challenge, scaling down architectural details in LEGO always is, but I’m happy with how it turned out.

Overall, this build was a real joy to create. It combines my love for Indiana Jones, historical buildings, and the challenge of working with non-traditional LEGO shapes.
